What We’re Building Together: Projects that Heal and Restore
At Heal the City Ministries, our vision comes to life through hands-on projects that meet real needs with the love of Christ. Each initiative —whether it’s training young adults in our garage, supporting immigrants on their journey, or providing a home for vulnerable mothers —is a reflection of our commitment to faith, justice, and compassion.
These are more than programs; they are pathways to healing, restoration, and lasting transformation. Explore the projects below to see how hope is taking root—and how you can be part of it.
Heal The City Garage
An immersive on-the-job training program to equip individuals with real-world skills in automotive repair and maintenance. Under the guidance of experienced technicians, participants will train directly in a garage setting—developing practical expertise, confidence, and a foundation for long-term employment in the trades.
Immigration Ministries
Providing compassionate support for individuals navigating the U.S. immigration process. Housing a DOJ Immigration Center staffed by DOJ-accredited representatives (we are currently pursuing this approval) our services will include assistance with citizenship applications, green card renewals, and changes of status. We will also offer English as a Second Language (ESL) and Civics classes to equip participants with the tools needed to pass the U.S. citizenship exam and thrive within their communities.
Noah’s Maternity Hope Cottage
A Christ-centered home for young women navigating unplanned pregnancies. This safe, stable, and nurturing environment will support pregnant and parenting women—especially those ages 15–21 who are homeless, at-risk, or without secure housing. With a team of compassionate house parents, mentors, and volunteers, our residents will receive spiritual, emotional, and practical support as they prepare for motherhood and independence. There is currently no maternity home within 100 miles of Salisbury that accepts expectant mothers under age 18. Many are placed in foster care or even juvenile detention. Our goal is to help each young woman build a sustainable, self-sufficient future for herself and her child.
Compassionate Ministry Center
The Compassionate Ministry Center will be more than a building—it will be a lifeline for Salisbury’s most vulnerable serving as a vibrant hub of healing, hope, and transformation, meeting the diverse needs of our community with the love of Christ.
Here, those experiencing homelessness will find help. Hungry families will be nourished through our Food Pantry Ministry. Children and teens will connect with mentors and grow in safe, enriching after-school and summer programs. Immigrants will receive support through ESL classes and outreach initiatives tailored to our Haitian and Hispanic neighbors. Those battling addiction will discover community and recovery.
This center will stand as a shining light in our city, a place where dignity is restored, lives are transformed, and hope is renewed every day.
